Much of my artwork focuses on the playful and outrageous side of my life. Many personal events and experiences have helped guide and pave the way for what I perceive is right and what is wrong within this world. My artwork deals with themes of family, misfortunes, dreams and sometimes just utter randomness. I sometimes entangle mutiple ideas through the imagery to accentuate the emotional awareness to make the theme stronger. I recall times that were not always pleasant when dealing with some of these life events.

To create a softer overall tone, I use a combination of soft pastel, charcoal, colored pencil and graphite. These materials provide a much softer overall tone when mixed and matched together, which create an interaction with the emotion of the composition and characters within the composition. I use a process of applying materials to my compositions, by layering one material upon another. I believe this creates a more pronounced and vibrant color combination that extends to the vast regions of the page. As I have found, dwelling on the past will never get you far in life. I try to see the humorous side of these events and remember them not as times that were awful and embarrassing, but rather as a new and comical learning experience.
