Garrett Ives was born in 1989, in Torrance, California. Prior to his enrollment at Arizona State University, Garrett was honored as a student artist in a 2007 display at the Los Angeles County Museum of Art. Upon entering ASU he was awarded with the Dean’s Scholarship for his academic achievements. In 2010, Garrett designed his first iTunes album artwork for Yoni entitled “Up Up In The Air.” His "White Cube" project can be seen on permanent display as part of the Herberger Institute for Design and the Arts, Gallery 101. His work includes fun, detailed scenes of characters expressing emotions or gestures within an abstracted, perspective view. His recent works have been shown in Gallery 101, and Gallery 100 where his artwork was featured in the exhibition Drawing Up a Storm, at Arizona State University’s Gallery 100. Garrett graduated in the Fall of 2012 with a Bachelor of Fine Arts, as a drawing major.
